INSTRUCTION AND RENTAL RATES There are three major costs for glider/sailplane instruction: Instructor Fee: $45 per hour (applies to both flight instruction and ground instruction) Aircraft Rental Rate: SGS 2-33 $35 per hour   SGS 2-32 $60 per hour (dual only)   ASK 21 $60 per hour (Non-owner liability insurance required to solo or to rent the ASK-21) Aero Tow Rates: 1,000-ft $29   1,500-ft $36   2,000-ft $42   2,500-ft $48   3,000-ft $54   Rope Break $20 Minimum rates for instruction: The minimum instructor charge is for 45 minutes. (10 am to 6 pm) If you wish to schedule ground instruction before 10 am, there is a $20 per hour surcharge. If you wish to schedule flight instruction before 10 am, there is a $40 per hour surcharge. A no-show with less than 2-hours notice costs $35, which will be added to the next training session. SPECIAL RATE Begin flight instruction before OCT 31, 2007, and after the first two hours of flight training, receive a reduced rate for rental of the SGS 2-33. This reduced rate will continue in effect for 90 days following the first day of training. SGS 2-33 $30 per hour *This special rate does not apply to field check-outs.
